Skin tones and meanings
Most hand emoji support five skin tones. The yellow version is the default; on a phone, long-press the emoji in your keyboard to choose a tone. Emoji copied from here use the default tone.

Emoji are added to Unicode every year, and phones only display the ones their software knows. ๐ซถ heart hands and ๐ซต pointing-at-you arrived in 2021; ๐ซท ๐ซธ push hands in 2022. If someone on an older phone sees an empty box or a question mark, swap in an older emoji.
